Rotaract

Rotaract Directory

Winter semester started off with Rotaract having a back to school pasta feed that was also a fundraiser for Haiti relief. SSU Rotaract raised $800.00 plus and had a great time as well. To learn more, contact ssurotaract@sonoma.edu

The Red cross will be honoring SSU Rotaract on April 21
at the Double tree in Rohnert Park for the $800 donation.

SSU Rotaract is a chance for college students age 18-30 to connect, protect and direct. There are many leadership positions available as well as many community service projects both local and international that are filled with meaning and fun. SSU Rotaract already has a books and ball project collecting books and sports equipment to go to a village in Kenya called Kitwii. 4 Rotaractors have already been to the site. The SSU Athletic department has offerred to co-sponsor this amazing project this year and the shipping container is scheduled to be on campus October 2009 with lots of great publicity as the Rotaractors load the books and balls onto the truck.

Rotaracters join Rancho Cotati Rotarians as they sort and prepare 80,000 books
donated by Healdsburg school for their books and balls project.
Books and balls donated by SSU athletic department, SSU Rotaract members,
Rancho Cotati Rotary members and community members will be shipped to 5 schools in
Kitwii village in Kenya. The photo shows the math books being stored in a
third storage locker and the donations continue to pour in.

Be sure to tell any SSU students you know about our renewed and fabulous Rotaract at SSU for fall 2009. Tell them tolet us know you sent them d so you can get the award!
